It all started with a simple prompt, and has blossomed into a beautiful story.

A WINTER NIGHT IN 2022

They Met

Ameliah and Adriano met at the Queen Victoria Night Market, Adriano was running late while Ameliah was patiently waiting on a cold winter night. The night started with fulfilling a promised hug that led to an adventure as they weaved through crowds of people in search of a hot chocolate.

Their journey was accompanied with great conversation and many laughs…

An official date was set with a simple question

First Date

Do you want you to do something fun or more adventures?
— Adriano
I’ll definitely make the better fireman.
— Ameliah

It started off with brunch at Au79. They didn’t know it then, but food and laughter was the start of building their foundation. After food to fuel their energy levels, they headed off to a session of Axe Throwing.

They soon found out that they loved it. Throughout the session, Ameliah continuously teased out Adriano’s competitive side while he tried to show off. At the end of the day, there were no definite indication of who will often be the the damsel in this relationship. But…

They extended their date and had another round of coffee, and more laughter back in Au79. To burn off the competitive energy and be friends again, they went for a walk around Alexandra Gardens, filled with chats about their lives, aspirations, and little quirks.

Adriano brought Ameliah to his favourite restaurant at the end of the day – Vapiano’s – to share a sliver of his culture. They shared a delicious meal and neither of them wanted the day to end.

As the months go by, they expanded their story into regional Victoria.

Bonded over the love for the outdoors, they explored forests, hiking trails, the seasides, and mountain tops.

A long weekend in Spring 2023

Disconnect to Connect

Ameliah and Adriano made their escape to an area unknown somewhere in Hiawatha, to intentionally disconnect from the bustling world for 4 days. No phones, no connection, surrounded by the peaceful melodies of nature, they disconnect to strengthened their connection.

They experienced living in a tiny cabin in the woods, playing board games, chatting about life over a campfire while cooking food without any distractions from the outside world.

Their story continues with yet another simple question
